Socotra is reached by direct seasonal flights, most commonly from Abu Dhabi and Cairo. Once you share your travel dates, we'll advise the current routes and help you coordinate arrival with the start of your tour.
When is the best time to visit?
The prime season runs from October to May, when skies are clear and seas are calm. June to September brings strong monsoon winds, when many sites are harder to reach — so we generally don't run tours then.
Is Socotra safe for travellers?
Socotra is peaceful, welcoming and far removed from the mainland. You'll travel with experienced local guides at all times, and we manage logistics, permits and on-the-ground support throughout your stay.
What kind of accommodation can I expect?
A blend of simple guesthouses and fully equipped wilderness camps in spectacular settings. Tents, bedding and camp kitchens are all provided — comfortable, but wonderfully close to nature.
How fit do I need to be?
Most journeys suit anyone in good general health — think gentle hikes and swimming rather than technical climbs. We tailor the pace to your group, and can make any itinerary more relaxed or more active.
Can you customise a private trip?
